“Great communication begins with connection.”
—Oprah Winfrey

For years research has indicated that children who experience difficulty with speech and language experience challenges in school. Delays in language, difficulty in expression and how well a child is understood impacts self esteem. Speech intelligibility, can create severe frustration and discourage a child showing an interest in communicating.

As Parents we become frustrated, when we see our children frustrated. Feelings of hopelessness and defeat will quickly consume us if we do not monitor our thinking.

Services are available for children and adolescents. Evaluations in speech, language, and voice will be completed and a Plan of Care established to target areas of concern. Individualized therapy sessions are provided as needed to address impairments.

Early Language Intervention for Language Delays/Disorders – ( 0-3) Sessions consists of education and training with Parents that will focus on ways to engage their young children, the importance of achieving focus attention, and how to encourage vocal play.

Articulation Therapy – The goal of articulation therapy is to increase awareness of correct sound production, correcting process errors, and increase overall speech intelligibility.

Language Therapy – Language therapy may focus on improving verbal expression, understanding information, following directions, expanding vocabulary, or improve social skills.

Hanen More Than Words with 1 on 1 Parent Coaching – The More Than Words Program improves interaction between Parent and Child, social skills, and language comprehension. The program has a 2 part design which allows Parents to participate in a group session where they are educated and trained on strategies and techniques to work with their children. These sessions are followed by 3 1:1 session with Parent and child.

Social Skills – Education and training on strategies to improve effective communication, eye contact, listening, turn taking, manners, and expressing personal needs.
